- • 500g elbow macaroni
- • 1 liter milk
- • 100g butter
- • 100g all-purpose flour
- • 1 tsp salt
- • 1/2 tsp pepper
- • 200g grated mozzarella cheese
- • 1 Cup Cream
- • 1 Cup oil
- • 1 pc onion
- • 500g minced beef
Method
- Cook the macaroni according to package instructions and set aside.
- In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat, then add the flour and whisk continuously for about 2-3 minutes to make a roux.
- Slowly pour in the milk while whisking constantly until the sauce thickens and becomes smooth.
- Add salt, pepper, and Cream to the sauce and stir well.
- In an ovenproof dish, layer half of the cooked macaroni, then add cooked minced beef , then cover with half of the bechamel sauce. Repeat with the remaining macaroni and sauce.
- Sprinkle grated mozzarella cheese on top.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for about 30 minutes or until golden brown on top. Serve hot and enjoy!
