Ingredients

  • • 500g elbow macaroni
  • • 1 liter milk
  • • 100g butter
  • • 100g all-purpose flour
  • • 1 tsp salt
  • • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • • 200g grated mozzarella cheese
  • • 1 Cup Cream
  • • 1 Cup oil
  • • 1 pc onion
  • • 500g minced beef

Method

  1. Cook the macaroni according to package instructions and set aside.
  2. In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat, then add the flour and whisk continuously for about 2-3 minutes to make a roux.
  3. Slowly pour in the milk while whisking constantly until the sauce thickens and becomes smooth.
  4. Add salt, pepper, and Cream to the sauce and stir well.
  5. In an ovenproof dish, layer half of the cooked macaroni, then add cooked minced beef , then cover with half of the bechamel sauce. Repeat with the remaining macaroni and sauce.
  6. Sprinkle grated mozzarella cheese on top.
  7. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for about 30 minutes or until golden brown on top. Serve hot and enjoy!
