Sago is considered one of the delicious Emirati sweets, which can be prepared with milk or saffron in most recipes. Today we present to you, Madam, a method of preparing it with rose water and saffron in its original way without using milk.
Ingredients and Method

Ingredients

  • 3 cup Sagou
  • 6 cup Hot Water
  • Saffron
  • 2 cup of sugar
  • 1 tsp Cardmom powder
  • ghee

Method

  1. Wash the sago beans well and soak them in hot water for half an hour
  2. In a pot on the fire, put the sugar and leave until it caramelizes, and be careful so that it does not burn from you
  3. Pour hot water and leave until the caramelized sugar dissolves
  4. Leave to boil on the fire, then filter the sago and add the caramel water.
  5. Stir until all the ingredients are homogeneous, then add the saffron and cardamom powder and stir
